Greetings from Gumtree

The temper tantrums and extreme moodiness that Mother Nature has exhibited so far this year wasnt enough of an obstacle to threaten the organizers of The Gumtree Festival of Tupelo this year. This was my first time in attendance as well as being a vendor, and although the challenges were present, the thoughtfulness and foresight to create an alternative way to present the festival to the city proved to be an overall success for most involved. I could come up with many reasons to complain about the lack of sales, and outreach to a new group of customers but rather I choose to focus on the opportunity I was blessed with to reach a new group of people that otherwise may never know of my existence. The day was greeted with fun conversations, new acquaintances, and the creation of more memories in my journey as an artist. A great big thank you to the best half of me, my ultimate rock, Chris, for driving over just to sit and hang out with me and continue to provide the incredible support to me that keeps me going.
